Though it’s too early, it was an important match for Inter to catch unstoppable Napoli this season. Under the new coach, former Tottenham coach Antonio Conte, Napoli are flying. In 11 matches Napoli have won 8 and got 25 points.
Now, let’s come up with the match review. Though the match was against a lower order team, it didn’t look easy for Inter. They were trying their heart and soul but were unfortunate to net the ball.
At the 6th minute, Dimarco cross swung in from the left and headed back across towards Martinez by Dumfries. The Inter captain chests the ball on and volleys for goal, pulling a powerful strike just wide of the left post!
14th minute, Dimarco swung Inter’s latest corner right across the face of goal, but Martinez’s glancing contact at the near post isn’t enough to steer it goalwards and Altare clears for the visitors!
In the 41st minute, Venezia went within inches of opening the scoring!! Idzes drives forward up the left edge and fizzes a dangerous ball into the middle, which is met first-time by Oristiano before Sommer dives across to somehow claw his goalbound shot out of the goalmouth from right in front!
After 7 minutes of the first half, VAR system picked up on the most fractional of offsides in the build-up to that clinical Inter goal, and therefore the strike was chalked off.
65th minute, Deadlock broken for the Nerazzurri, and home-game hoodoo broken for El Toro!! The ball was worked left to Dimarco in acres of space, and he wiped an absolute peach of a cross into the six-yard box.
It’s just begging to be steered home by someone, and the captain Martinez is there to head home at the far post, putting Inter 1-0 up with his first San Siro goal since February!!
97th minute, BALL IN THE NET!!! Venezia think they’ve rescued a point right at the last!! With added time all-but done. The visiting bench goes wild as players and coaches spill onto the pitch, but the Inter players aren’t happy and VAR are on the case.
99th minute, Goal Disallowed! What a drama at San Siro. Sverko’s challenge in the air is fair, but as he and Bisseck jump for the ball, it lands right on his forearm before hitting the net, and the VAR replays pick this up as enough to rule the goal out!
Heartbreak for Venezia and relief for Inter, as they get out of jail big time right before the final whistle sounds!

So, a tight victory for Inter. It will be better if they focus on the next game against the table toppers in form Napoli who just beat the other side of Milan 2-0 at the very end of the last month. Whoever wins will get the lead for sure.
If Inter wins they will go 2 points up the table but if Napoli wins they will lead with 4 points. Let’s see what happens this season! Stay tuned for new updates and you can check out Premier League drama last night.
Till then, Signing off! Ragibur Reza.
