Lionel Messi has revealed that he gets criticism from his children despite being known home and abroad as the greatest footballer of all time in the entire world.
In a chat with Fabrizio Romano for 433, the ex-Barca star said that his three sons often judge his performances and also give him advice on how to improve his game.
In that chat, Messi also revealed how he spends time with his boys in his free time and what his favourite food is.
In the interview, the 37-year-old said: “We play with football. Everything revolves around football. A few touches, a few passes. It depends on the moments, on which of the three as well. Because one is more hot-headed than the others. And well, they also give me advice.

They criticize me too when they watch a game.”
Then, Messi was asked about his favourite sport other than football. To which he replied: “I like padel, basketball, tennis, but for the most part, I like to play padel.”
The World Cup-winning South American star revealed how he relaxes ahead of a match as he told: “I listen to music in the locker room, drink mate (tea). It depends on the time of the game, but not a lot, nothing special.”
The Albiceleste also opened up on his favourite desert as he said: “I really like ice cream.
I’m not really into food, but I am into desserts.”
At last, when he was asked about one superpower he would love to have, Messi said: “Invisibility, yes, or flying, but invisibility.”
The 8-time Ballon D’or winner, who scored a hat-trick in his last match for Argentina in the 2026 CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers in October, has been named in Lionel Scaloni’s squad for the team’s upcoming qualifying matches next week against Paraguay and Peru.
The Inter Miami star will first take on for his club on Saturday night in the MLS 2024 playoffs decider against Atlanta United. Another Miami match, everyone will be waiting for another Messi-Magic!
